Stars Can’t Shine Without Darkness…
Deep within the sadness;
when the mind is consumed with madness,
and I begin to become heartless…
In the midst of the abyss; when I began to lose sight,
I find solace in the night.
When the stars illuminate the night,
I know my muse is shining bright…
When the world gets cold; under the pale moonlight,
let my muse shine bright.
When beauty gets blue;
when she begins to lose sight,
let her remember the night.
When her smiles become silent tears of sadness;
when the magic in her eyes succumbs to the madness,
and she turns cold and begins to become heartless….
Let her become reacquainted with her beauty in the darkness.
Let her find solace in the night.
Stars Can’t Shine Without Darkness.
If sadness is liken to darkness…
let the night fall upon us; so my muse can shine bright.
Remind her of her beauty and brilliance;
let her bring joy in the midst of her sadness.
Let the sadness in her smile and the magic in her eyes enlighten a poet’s life.
Let the pain of the poet invocate the muse.
Let the sadness of the muse become darkness.
Then let the marvelous muse radiate the night.
If only for a moment.
If only for one night.
Long enough to inspire her poet to write.
Long enough for him to pen an ode to the night.
Long enough for them to tenderly remember the night…
Radiant with starry-eyes,
like the stars in the sky.
My superstar, starlight.
Illuminious light, star bright.
Goddess of the night, night light.
I vividly remember the night…
If only for a moment.
If only for one night.
Stars Can’t Shine Without Darkness…
Therefore; when the sun goes down,
and the smiles turn to frowns,
when the mind’s eye loses sight,
and the stars are within site.
Tenderly remember;
the solace in the night.
Vividly remember;
the time my muse was shinning bright.
